Sun lounge

The Sun Lounge is an extension to the rear of the main village hall that was opened in June 2011 by West Row’s then oldest man and woman, Jim Clements, 90, and Mary Freeman, 91. Designed to provide a separate comfortable seating area just off the main function room, and with a well equipped bar, it faces south over the rear lawn of the hall.

The main part of the room measures 10.2m x 4.7m, with a sloping ceiling. Three sets of double doors open out onto the rear patio and into the canopy area. The lounge contains 15 chairs with 4 small side tables. There is both bright overhead lighting and wall-mounted low level lighting.

The bar has 2 tall fridges and 1 under-counter fridge, brackets for 8 bottles, a sink and various storage areas. A store room behind the bar is reserved for the foundation’s own use only.

The Sun Lounge is only hired out in addition to the main hall, and you can hire it either with or without the bar. The foundation does not provide a bar service, you can either organise this yourself, or get a third party to provide this for you. There are village based licenced companies that provide a free bar service with whom we frequently work and our bookings manager can provide details for on request.
